In reply to the Dexterity issue it is most likely happening due to different architectural operating systems (x64 vs x86). To eliminate any failure with installing the prerequisites I would add 2 command lines (won't hurt) for each, one pointing to a 32 bit version and 1 64 etc.

start /wait C:\WINDOWS\system32\msiexec.exe /qb /i DexteritySharedComponents\Microsoft_Dexterity11_SharedComponents_x64_en-us.msi

start /wait C:\WINDOWS\system32\msiexec.exe /qb /i DexteritySharedComponents\Microsoft_Dexterity11_SharedComponents_x86_en-us.msi

In addition, adding the latest update for dexterity would be good too via MSP file

start /wait C:\WINDOWS\system32\msiexec.exe /qn /p DexteritySharedComponents\MicrosoftDexterity11_SharedComponents-KB2408958-ENU.msp REINSTALL=ALL REINSTALLMODE=omus

As for the infamous Error Reporting issue, it needs a APPGUID in the command syntax to properly install, like example

start /wait C:\WINDOWS\system32\msiexec.exe /i Watson\dw20sharedamd64.msi AppGUID={F5459EB2-A662-4EB3-AD94-E771DC2F542A} /Qb

start /wait C:\WINDOWS\system32\msiexec.exe /i Watson\dw20shared.msi APPGUID={74C84D32-0BFE-4DF1-A59A-49EEECE4043B} /Qb

The top one is for 64 bit (hints the amd64 in the MSI file name). After assigning a APPGUID in the command string it should install just fine, allowing you to proceed with the silent install of Great Plains.

almas comments on Where did the *.cmp and *.sys files go?

(Y)
good one.

M1 preventative maintenance software comments on Excellent SQL Server Backup and Maintenance Solution

Wow...that looks pretty good...nice explanations dude..

Jorge Segarra comments on Enrolling in new semester of SQL University

Thanks for quick write up on SQLU!
