First post at the new site
Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at 6:47PM Inspired by a series of posts on How to Start a Blog by SQL Server Guru Brent Ozar, I decided to move away from my Live Spaces site and setup a "real" blog, so here we are.
I've got the posts from the old blog moved over, though they seem to have some wonky formatting. This will be a work in progress for a week or so as I play with the plugins and appearance here, but I'll try to keep that to a minimum. Finding a theme that I'm happy with is proving to be harder than I thought it would be.
I'm planning to use this as an all-in-one site, mixing posts on GP and SQL with recent tweets and posts on my other interests, so it will be a bit different than my Live Spaces blog, which was mainly just a dumping ground for useful GP and SQL information that I wanted to be able to refer back to easily. I'll put a little more time and effort into posts here so that they're "fit for public consumption", and will categorize things appropriately so you can easily filter the posts you may not be interested in.
In addition I've put links in the sidebar to my profiles on various social networks where you can connect with me if you like. Please feel free to leave comments or contact me through any of those sites.

Congrats on the switch! You'll love WordPress, I promise, especially relative to Spaces. If you ever need any help on WordPress let me know.
Thanks, Brent. Good luck on the MCM!
